I saw in a parking lot a guy selling his renagade liberty with 285/75/16 MTR tires with stock rim but with ±1.5" spacers.

Doesn't seems to be lifted that much.

So it's possible to fit that big ?

Maybe he's just mall crawling so he doesn't have to much rubbing ???

Can it be driveable offroad with some rubbing ????

For now I have 245/75 and it's just a bit to small :( most of the times guys with wranglers in the club I'm part of when making body run always ask for 33" tires as minimum setup so I have to skip most of the time cause they don't want me to slow them down too much :favorites68:

Sawsall is the first tool you will need
they may fit but no room to flex etc
regear
and depends on what you have KJ/kk

OK KJ
so front diff will not stand up to that big
you can not regear low enough
even with 32s you need to regear
Have to have at least 4 or more inches of REAL lift

Even with four inches of real lift you are only gaining .5 of an inch clearance with 33" tires.
Sure you do get a little wider tire.
You would be surprised at what a KJ can do on 245's.
Then lock it and a Lib can do even more.
Lock the front and you can get into some serious shit!

I know locally they do the same thing
33+ or better for X ,Y & Z trails
33+ and 1 locker for these trails
35+ and 1 locker and little concern for body damage
for this trail
I roll on 33" tall tires and am locked front and rear
they know me and know my TJ
They know I will not be a hold up so I ride where I want
You should lock the KJ and comment on the easier trails
no longer offering a challenge
They will then want to "show you a challenge"

Most places I've been to actually like it when we show up in our KJ!
That and they are always ready to help out.
Regardless wether you have the appropriate recommended tire size or locked!

Maybe
But in a large group of say 15+ rigs
Putting the wrong sized rig in the wrong group
could and does cause problems
Most times the folks hosting the ride catch grief
for allowing me to ride the "modified" trail
when someone else's Jeep is "bigger"
More than Just size
But until they know that you know how to handle your
rig it is easier to have you on the "bunny" trails

A lot of it comes down to if you know how to wheel or not.
Its not the size of the tire but whats in your head
I've seen guys show up with the biggest lift, the biggest tires, all of the latest goodies, people ooooing and aaahing, so in the parking lot they are super wheelers
Put them out on the trail and suddenly they don't even know how to pull the lever to get it in 4 WD :Bye:
