Ok wiring specialists ...Help!
Due to air compressor needs and Inverter, it would be nice to have a 30 amp socket capable in the Jeep.
I realize fused & 10 or 12 ga wire is needed.
Surely there must be some heavy duty sockets available that wont overheat easily.
For placement, under drivers seat might work, as there is steel under lip of seat.
I suppose wiring directly to battery would be best.

The marine quick connect used on bass boats for the trolling motor would be an excellent choice. They're readily available, secure connection, made as both a socket and receptacle or both ends as pigtails, and easy to use.

That would certainly work.

Or put a set of alligators on the compressor wires and pop the hood and connect to battery.

Never mind ! I missed that you wanted a dual connection point for the compressor and inverter.

I'd fuse the line at the battery because should you short the line to ground under your seat you'll be sitting on a real hot seat.
You do know you'll only need to run the hot lead. The negative for the plug can go to ground.

What compressor and inverter are you running?
And what are their current requirements?

I have a 300w inverter under my seat and a cigarette lighter splitter under my seat.
It feeds my GPS, cell phone charger and anything else that I need.

You asked..ha ha..You may laugh but..
This old & loud, yet sturdy, Hong Kong made compressor blows 20 amp fuses if left running, but fills tires relatively quickly!
3.5 minutes from 18 psi to 35 and has a gauge that actually works!
I just put a new connector on it, as last one melted, want something more HD yet.
Dont have specs on it...I do need head room not to blow the jeeps fuses.

For the inverter, this is the one I have 500 watt. Stanley 500W Power Outlet | Canadian Tire

Not hard wired at this time.
I think the Stanley can handle about 200-250 watts using the accessory socket and obviously more using battery clamps.
