Hello everyone,
After KJ OWNER's excellent information, I still have two questions
1. Is access to the 545RFE block, Solenoid easy, do I have to remove the gearbox and can a novice mechanic like me do it?
2. I live in a very rocky area and I don't have any tarmac on my access road, so what solution could I use to raise the vehicle again without damaging the integrity of the transmission, as I'm hearing various contradictory opinions.

Dirt and dust are going to be your main enemy with working outside, when I do anything like this outside I use tarpaulins or big plastic bags to reduce the wind under the truck to try and stop anything getting blown in, I also put a black sack over anything I'm going to leave exposed so nothing can get blown in.
I'm not sure what you mean by rase the transmission? You can jack the whole jeep up and put it on stands if you need more clearance underneath, but to access the transmission sump the gearbox doesn't need to be lifted.

I heard a Jeep "specialist" say that lifting the car (I do a lot of rocking and sometimes I "tap", I'd like to avoid that) would put tension on the driveshaft and for this "specialist" that's not good!

I've not heard that, when jacked up everything just dangles, you can put the stands under the axle and front wishbones if you are worried, but I've never bothered.
