5mm spacers with factory lugs?

Can I install 5mm wheel spacers and still use the factory lugs? I put 255/65 R16 Toyo's on my unlifted 05 Liberty, so far no rub at full lock but it's pretty close so I'd like the added clearance.

It would probably work
but most spacers that thin like that are aluminum and are easily broken
IMO I would never run anything like that
