I replaced the compressor and accumulator, etc. I had Pep Boys pull vacuum and charge. It worked great the first few days, we went on vacation, returning I noticed it wasn't blowing as cold, started to worry there may be a leak.
But I then noticed it would **** cold at low vehicle speed or coming to a stop, briefly while accelerating. Searching the web, I saw a similar issue with a KJ where the low side switch atop the accumulator was the culprit. $20, worth a try.

While I am at it, what are the processes/specifications to test the other switches that would control AC?

find the compressor relay. bypass it so it's always on with the engine running. measure temperature coming from the vents at various speeds. report back your findings.
