Two things to check.
1) Does the electric fan on the radiator come on when the AC is on? If the AC is on, the fan should be on. If it's not, then there is no air flow over the condenser coil, and you'll get what you've got. If the fan doesn't come on even when the engine is hot, then the fan may be bad. It could also have a blown fuse.
2) AC coolant could be low. This is something you'll want a professional to check, occasionally Firestone or Tuffy will run a $19.99 AC inspection in which they will empty the system and refill it with coolant and a dye (you'll want to verify they are doing this). When they did mine, they found it was leaking around the Schrader Valve on the high-pressure side, ended up being a super simple fix (new o-ring).
Lastly, welcome to the forum!
