I guess 4.5 BS compensates for 16x8 RIM? But offset at 0 won't these babies stick out?
Do they have compatible 17s?

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
16x8 rims with less then 5" of BS will rub pretty good and be a pain to mount 245/75 tires.Should have stuck with a 7" rim, less cutting involved and the bead will stay seated better when aired down.

I started plotting out a new fender flare overlay that will give the consumer anywhere from 1 inch to a total of 6 inches more "Flare width" (More for specific applications.)

Nice!!!!:D

That would be neat. Wider fender flares I mean. It seems when I see the Renne flares on a KJ they look wider than the "body color ones" that I have or something. Maybe it is just because they are a different color than the body and have those silver rivets in them. It makes them look bigger or something.

I'll be going up to 265-75-75 tires so I'll want the 8 inch wide wheels for that.

You might check out this place, same wheels cheaper price:

http://www.sporttruckspecialty.com/wheels/americanracing/chamber-teflon.htm compared to your site:

http://www.wheelsforless.com/searchresult.aspx?keywords=39856865

always trying to save a buck for the gas tank!

Wheels for less?
I'll buy from Summit Racing.

I run 265/75's and they are stamped on the sidewall to run on a 16x7 rim only.I'd save the 8" rim for 12.50" tires or wider.I have my new 35x13.50x15's mounted on 15x8's and there almost 4" wider then my 265's.Plus you will get the max height from your 265's on a 7" rim and less likely to blow a bead when aired down.

That makes sense.
But I thought that Rubicon Moab wheels were 16X8, and I see alot of KJ's with these wheels and fitted with 245 or 265-75-16 tires mounted on those wheels.
