I have to be the odd duck, so some of you may remember that I simply did a Rusty's 3/4" spacer in the front and 2 isolators in the rear. That lifted the front by 1.75". I think the rear went up by like 1" or something. I'd appreciate some help in planning out my tire selection.

I plan on going with General Grabber AT2's sometime in the future. I am also debating wheel spacers or some MOAB wheels. I know 245/70/16 will fit, those will be fine even on a stock KJ. Do you think 245/75/16's would fit with VERY little to no rubbing on my mini lift? I guess I am asking this question three ways. Will 75's fit on the stock wheels? Will 75's fit on MOAB's? Will 75's fit with 1.25" spacers?

If need be, I could throw a slight clevis lift on there, provided there's a way I can lift the rear accordingly. I don't want the baja look, and the stance now is fairly good. I currently have the original pair of isolators back there, plus two additional (so three total).

If they are going to be rubbing or just a general pain to get them to fit, I'll gladly step down to 70's and save the mpg and a little cash from their purchase.

That's my concern. I am really not set on the MOAB's (man, they look great though!). It'd sure save me some cash to keep the stock wheels.

Think 75's would fit with stock wheels? Is there really that much of a difference between 70's and 75's? If they look the same, I'd just go with the 70's. I don't think I need 75's, I just am thinking bigger is better. ;)

Hmmm...never considered a 235/75...that's a idea too!

Edit: Preliminary findings indicate that neither Grabber AT2's nor BFG A/T's come in 235/75 :( So it sounds like 245/70's are the way to go.

Depending on the manufacturer and type of tire, that's only a 5% difference in tire diameter and a 10mm in width.

Where are the troubled areas that seem most common for rubbing?

Yup, understood on the aspect ratio. My biggest question was that I am not a 2.5" lift, nor am I stock. 245/70's supposedly fit OK stock. I was curious to know if I could step it up to 245/75's. I'd like to if I could, but closer examination of the wheel in different positions leads me to believe it'd be too close for comfort. So, I think I'll end up 245/70.

T bois, seems that the limitation is mostly in the front - the pinch weld behind the wheel and the inner fender in front of the wheel seem too close. I am hesitant to hack up on either one, I think I'd prefer not to.

Here's another twist for you. the tire size 255/70 might fit your custom lift and General has this size. Also they are winter severe storm rated wheras the 245/70 is not.
