As topic states, I am interested in an alternative way to add aux input to my 6-cd changer but need to find not-so-expensive method (as I am very much low on dough nowadays). I was wondering if anyone ever used or heard wired FM Modulator on any stock radio, and if it is easy to install? Of course it depends on the model/make and frequency selection but still I assume it should be much better than the wireless fm transmitters.

I have been paying way too much for CD-R s for albums I only listen to once or twice in the car.

Paying too much for CD-Rs?

I just bought a 100 stack for $20 a week or two ago. They were name brand too *Philips*. I just use them periodically for people who want files or infomation.

But to address your question. A wired FM modulator *should* sound better, but its not going to be as good as a straight up AUX input. I thought there was a factory aux input cable with the Ipod adapter, so that means there should be a way to jerry rig something to go straight in.

Yeah, I would suggest, that if you have an ipod, just install the ipod integration kit.

I have 10,000 songs uploaded, and I'll never play "or buy" another cd again! ................... and the integration kit comes with a extra aux input so you can play just about anything from tapes, to other MP3 players

I don't have ipod, sorry.
I was planning to get aux outta my cellphone which has 1GB memory to play the songs in it, as well as other 2GB mp3 player, so it is easy to swap songs without having to burn them.

I think I have RBQ not RB1, sorry. The 6cd indash changer.

I was also plannig to get external 10 disc MP3 changer along with wired fm modulator.
