Just purchased the Bosch Platinum 2 Spark Plugs from my local Autozone. I asked for a price check on the Platinum 1 and 2 plugs and I decided to go fork over some extra cash for the 2's. Upon getting to the checkout the cashier accidently punched in the wrong SKU # and gave me all 6 plugs for the Platinum 1 price!! HAHA!

Anyways, I put them in today and yes, the passenger side was a pain in the ass. After removing the factory spark plugs I noticed that they were slightly blackened on the end and the thread area was slightly burnt looking. I have 40K+ on my Jeep at this time. Besides the idea of running the new plugs close to 100K, is there any other changes that may have occured? I did not notice any performance increase, and it is too early to tell if my gas mileage may be better.[/img]

Those are the same plugs I installed in my wife's '02 Liberty Sport 4x4 in December of 2003, with the expectations that they'd go at least double (60k) of what the standard NGK's run. The coolant reservoir was removed and made installation easier. A new air filter, six new Bosch plugs, and a throttle body cleaning later, it ran good as new.

Now you run back to the Zone and give'em their money back ! O:)

I'm spark-plug free with the CRD !

Anyone know if the K&N Drop In Filter gives any gains? What about a throttle body spacer? Just trying to gain some type of MPG or even a little performance hehe.

i got about 1 - 2 mpg on the k and n. didnt really notice it till 500 or so miles later after install. when u clean the k and n, and u put in the stock.....you'll REALLY notice a difference....

gonna be switching over to platinums soon too.

When you put in the stock you see a drop in MPG?? Is that the difference you are speaking of?

I was putting Mobil Clean 7500 in it:

I've been using it for some time now since I was doing nearly 3-3.5K miles per month on it. My previous job required me to drive nearly 120 miles round trip each day. I have since changed jobs and I cut my drive by nearly 90% (got something close to home). I want to start using full synthetic but not sure which one to go with:

Mobile 1 or Mobile 1: Extended Performance

Any suggestions would be grateful!

Do you mean a whole K&N intake system or just the drop in filter?

changed over to the platinum 4's today. took me a lil under an hour. the left side was a PITA (especially the one by the reservoir. but it was easier than it looks.

had about 33k on the NGK's. she starts up a lil better now, but thats about he only thing i noticed.
