Picked up an 08 Liberty today from a friend for $650. Did I pay too much?
Actually it's an extremely clean, well maintained KK with 148,000 miles on it. He got it from someone who had it go into limp mode, borrowed a car to get back and forth, then ended up buying that car. Poor little KK sat for a while before being offered up to my friend for $500. He thought his wife might enjoy it, but she preferred her Honda. I got it for what he had into it, which included a new battery and an oil change. I have to plug it in to the OBD reader and see what lurks under the hood. Drove it around and home with no issues. I also wonder about the CVT trans these have. I know in other applications the CVT hasn't been very reliable. Any tricks on making them live forever? Looking forward to interacting here.
