Bug Shield install question

hello,

i just recieved a Bugflector II bug shield and the instructions are really not clear if you need to install the 4 self tapping screws or not. has anyone relied on just the double sided tape it comes with? also, did you have to remove the black factory weather seal in the middle section to get a good fit where the latch is?

The Jeep unit has you slide the shield between the hood and seal. Their only optionis to use the screws, but they are not self tapping. Had to do some drilling.

Can't tell you for sure on the one you have. Jeep's instructions weren't real clear either.

I had it on just with tape for about 2 months then had to put screws in, but I just put the two center ones on and it's been good for 2.5 years. Also had to pre-drill holes.
