What is your biggest complaint with your Liberty?

Have you had things go repeatedly, such as window regulators?

I'm just curious since we just bought one.

A little over 2 months ago, we bought our 06 Sport w/ 73k miles on it. So far, it has been trouble-free, but we've only had it a short while. Time will tell!

Only had mine for about 6 weeks, now with almost 32,000 on it, (got it with 27K on it). Nothing so far. Under warranty, before I got it. They did replace the fuel tank, gas cap, and a rear wiper motor. So far I have only replaced the bulbs for the head lights and fogs, with Sylvania Silverstones. Wanted a bit briter light, than the standard bulbs.

I bought my 06 Sport with 38,000 on it back at the end of August. I only got a few miles beyond the dealership when I got a Check Engine Light. I take it back and it turns out the catalytic converter is bad. Fortunately, the emissions system has an 8 year warranty, so that was fixed under warranty. I also had to get both U-joints on the rear driveshaft replaced a couple of thousand miles later.

bought my 06 in jan of 07 brand new off the dealer lot with 20 miles on it.

under recall it has had the blower motor replaced, and i also had a very weak and jerky reverse gear, which was fixed with a flash on the transmission free at the dealer.

other than that ive had no problems except i wish the transmission was geared better.

its got 18598 miles right now.

From a poll over on L.O.S.T. it seems the '05+ KJ's have had very bad luck with window regulators, some are on there 4th+ on some '06 KJ's.Also seems like a recurring trend with failed wheel speed sensors also.

While I'm sure this question has been aksed...and answered before, why can't someone use an '04 regulator in an 05-06.

You can,but if you order a regulator for a '04 you will get the updated piece of junk regulator that is already in the '05+ KJ's since they don't make the better regulators anymore.Heck If I order a regulator for my '02 I'll get the same piece of junk one in the '05+ KJ's.

While reading some of the reviews in that edmunds link... a couple of ppl mentioned repairing the regulators, another spoke of a repair kit. Does someone have any info on the repair kits?

The only thing I could find so far was this from steigerperformance, any they are looking at developing one.

I'm not bashing anybody Jeep here, but the '06 we got just seems of lesser quality than my '03.

I found some interesting reviews here with the window regulators.
http://www.edmunds.com/jeep/liberty/2006/consumerreview.html

i had that feeling to with my 06. my wife had her 02 for about a year and when i got mine i was used to the ways hers felt.

mine just felt thin and weak compared to hers and not as sturdy feeling. since then ive got used to it and its not an issue to me anymore, but i do notice a huge difference between the 2 every time i drive hers.

rack and pinion (from offroading a lot most likely)
IAC motor

all under warranty on my 06 6 speed with 23,000 miles

problem free other than that :)
