I am about to tackle the wheel bearings and CV shafts this weekend. The axle nut and axle are one big rusted hunk on both sides. The nut is 2 sizes smaller than it should be and there are no visable threads on the end of the axle. Just for fun I tried to get the nut off when I was doing the brakes last week.
Pretty sure its not going to happen without rounding the nut off.
So my plan is to pull the whole assembly out through the knuckle but I am wondering if anyone here has done that. Just want to verify its possible before I start working on it. If its not I will go do the work at my buddy's place where he has a torch and we will just make it all a liquid. Cant be tight if its a liquid right?
