Ok I have read a lot of the posts here about replacing the radio which I would like to do merely for the fact that I would like bluetooth hands free.
So I went to jeep.com entered in my vin got all the cool specs that my jeep came with. It is a 2006 Liberty sport 3.7. I do not have premium sound just a stock stereo with a single cd.
Granted I have 6 speakers 1 in each door and 2 tiny ones on the dash. I went to amazon, crutchfield and best buy crutchfield says to use Metra 70-6502 Receiver Wiring Harness Connect a new car stereo in select 2002-08 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles at Crutchfield.com
Has anyone used this harness?
But it is for 4 speakers so I assume the "4" front speakers are tied together.
Next question I know that in the early models of the liberty you needed an antenna extender is this also needed for a 2006?
Also, what about the amps for the speakers that come stock or is this not something I should worry about since my speakers currently all work fine I don't want to blow and amp though.
