Got my OME lift installed a couple of weeks ago. FInally got the alignment to an acceptable place. Still having an issue when going over a sharp drop. Doesnt have to be very big drop only maybe 3 inches. But if it is sharp and not gradual I get a good clunk/thud noise from the front right. The left has been quiet since the install. Anyone else experience this symptom after lifting and figure out what the culprit is?

Could be a loose washer on the top of the coil over
Tom said I could potentially have the same issue since the shop put the new Bilstein washer on one and the stock washer on the other
I didn't/don't get any noise up front only in the rear
Sounds just like what I have, very deep or short, sharp dips in the road cause a thudding sound
I believed mine to be the rear Bilstein's not having the bushing kit but after installing that it still does it
Just going to deal with it for now !
If I come up with any solutions I'll be sure to let you know

So to fix this does the coil over have to be taken apart again? Or you just have to take it out and tighten the top nut?

I undid and re torqued the UCA bolts twice. I checked the torque on all the other bolts.

Just torque the top nut I would suppose
I would drive slow and really listen to see if it is in the front because if not then it'd be way easier to deal with the rear than taking the entire from apart again and not get anywhere

Again, the top washers being different was just my situation.. Not sure about yours
I know for a fact my noise is from the rear but I'm going to just deal with it
I know every nut/bolt I've taken out has been torqued 3-4 times

I understand, Im just entertaining all possibilities right now. I could get the front strut out myself in alot less time than it took me the first time.

Im pretty sure mine is the front because I was testing it out on speed bumps. Front goes over quickly and then stop and I get the metal on metal thud sound. Then drive the rear wheels over quickly and the suspension is stiff and drops quickly and creates a sort of thud sound but its not the same kind of noise I hear when I drive over the bumps in the road.

Hm, that's weird
If I go over speed bumps I don't get any sound, only when hitting sudden big bumps or a deep pot hole
Hopefully Tom was able to give you the info you're wanting as I am in pretty much the same boat
