Im starting to get a clicking noise from my front drivers side wheel when im in 4wd. Sounds like a CV getting ready to go. I have a frankenlift, but I also put 4 coduit nuts on my clevis because my front was sagging with the weight of the ARB bumper and winch. The kj has 103k and CVs have never been replaced. Do you guys think the conduit nuts are putting too much stress on the CV? Also, are there any aftermarket CVs that are better than just replacing them with stock ones?

thanks

so it turns out my cv joints are fine. Apparently my transfer case has gone south on me...anyone have any suggestions on getting a solid rebuilt or a low milage one?

check the transfer case end of your front drive shaft and make sure the boot is on there and not cut. Lift one of your front tires off the ground so you can turn the drive shaft and get a really good look at it. The boot is kinda inside the socket area where it bolts to the transfer case.

you may also just pull the entire shaft out and take a look at it, further verify that the transfer case end pivots smoothly. It's easy to get it out.
