Dome lights will not shut off????

My GF has a 2004 Jeep Liberty, not sure when it really started but the dome lights, both front and back will no longer shut off. Ive tried pulling the fuse, cleaning all door jams and disconnected the battery. At first the dome lights shut off approx 8 minutes after turning off the vehicle, but now, after playing with the lights and different trying to shut off configurations, they stay on all the time and would prob drain the battery. For now Ive removed the fuse, but now I have no radio. Any suggestions on what I could try to fix the problem before taking it to the repair shop?????

I didn't realize the dome light turned on by pushing it. I don't ride in the back very often. A couple of months ago I accidentally hit it and turned it on when I was pulling my ski's out. I disconnected the battery overnight, suspected the BCM or the door switch. Nothing helped get it to go off. It took me two days to figure out that all I needed to do was push it to turn it off.

Don't know if its as simple as that, if its not, take the bulb out.

Have you tried turning them off VIA the stalk? Its the same area where you turn the head lights on, dim the dash lights, etc.

If thats not it, it may be a bad stalk. Not a big deal or an expensive part. Well, given you fix it yourself..
