Just bought a 2006 Lib and don't know too much about the radio yet. There is a "mode" button on the left that allows me to switch between AM/FM when I press on the lower part, when I press on the upper part, it displays SAT on the radio. There appears to be a Satellite antenna mounted on the roof right above the rear window. It's black 2x3" almost flat thing with a fat raised ridge in the middle. Does this mean I have a Sat radio? Do I just order up the service and I'm good to go? How does the Sat company know to "turn on" my service? Is there a serial number I would have to give them? Where would I get that?

Also, I thought I read a post a while back stating that I could hook a cable up to the back of this radio to provide an AUX port for an iPod? Is that true?

Thanks, all.

If you have the Antenna, and the radio goes to SAT, you should have Sirius Sat radio built in. You need the EIN to activate the radio.

If you have a CD CHANGER port, and the port is not occupied by the REAR CD Changer, you can hook up the adapter. I bought one, and it didn't work... I do not know if you need to program the radio to switch to CD changer to get the Aux port to work, or not, no one here gave me an answer on that when I posed about it. All I know is? I hooked it up to the CD changer port, pressed MODE, and it would not switch to it, EVER. I got it ay Circuit City, payd $50.00 for the piece of crap, and now it's collecting dust. I put an aftermarket head-unit with a Aux, USB, and SD Card options. Was tired of screwing around...

I found the satellite receiver. It's mounted in the right rear fender where the CD changer would go, but there is no cut out in the plastic moulding. I followed the wire from the antenna down to it. Just a black box mounted in there. I found online that you can get the Satellite serial number by Pressing EJECT and TIME on the radio at the same time and holding for a few seconds. It will display the first 4 digits of the number, then press Seek+ to get the next four, press again to get the final four.
