I volunteered to let my parents borrow my recently purchased 2002 Liberty because they needed the room in back to put about 300lbs of finch seed. The dealer told me the rear seats folded down so I got out the manual to make sure I was doing it right and folded them down. Well, they don't lay flat...not even close to flat. What's up with that? I first thought it was the Jeep seat covers I had on but that wasn't it. Is there anything I am doing wrong or missing? The pic in the manual shows them flat. Hmmmm......

They don't lay flat until 2005 models and even then...

Beginning with 2005, didn't Jeep just make the back seats not as thick?

That's normal. I had to sleep in the back of mine for a camping trip. Definitely noticed the incline. #-o

If that's what a craftmatic feels like, I feel bad for anyone who has one. lol3.gif

harley flat

Their definition of flat and mine are apparently not the same. I've found that if i put 2-3 bags of 80lbs concrete on top they do get fairly flat. :-$
