New to all this! Purchased a 2003 Liberty sport with a 97 explorer 8.8 rear. Speed sensor not hooked up. Have no speedo or odometer. old sensor has two wires as does the ford. Hooked them up but no go. Vehicle runs but stalls when coming to a stop. ALSO... Have a straight front axle from a Cherokee but the pinion angle is too sharp. Have a tall lift. Rear is fine but too much vibration in front. Suggestions? Kits? The older jeeps were so much simpler! LOL! Total newb at this one! Thanks for any input!

IMO, Sounds like you bought someone else's problems.
Post up some pictures
The older Jeeps were not really simpler, ( except for some computer controlled issues, )
most used common sense when building one, and plus mant had been lifted / things had been tried and found what worked what didn't .
Seen some scary stuff so far when people tried to SFA a KJ

Welcome!! You need pinion angle shims to correct your problem with the high pinion angle. Could you post some photos.

I will post pics as soon as I can. New computer... still haven't figured it all out! Lol! renegade 04- pinion shims on the front axle? How does that affect steering geometry and linkages? Thanks, tommudd... appreciate an honest opinion! Entire IFS was cut off and replaced with leaf springs to accommodate the dana 30 from an 89 Cherokee. It rides and steers surprisingly well. Just have too much vibration from too much angle. As for the speed sensor issue, it was in the rear also in the original axle. Not in the ******. I have a 5 spd. The way I figure, the sensor just picks up the impulse from the reluctor and sends the electrical pulse to the computer. There is voltage in the wire, about 9volts. Next step will be to see if there is a prob with the ford sensor. It was in while the previous owner wheeled it and got packed with dirt. Thanks all for the welcome and advice!

He said pinion angle shims, not pinion shims. Angle shims are wedge shaped pieces of steel or aluminum that come in different degrees, that you slip between the leaf springs and spring mounts (perches). This is one way to "fix" pinion angle issues, such as the sharp angle problem you say you have.

If its the one I am thinking it is, its going to take a lot to remedy the pinion angle
