gear question

im having a major brain fart tonight. Theres a front diff from a 2002 5spd 2.4l with 4.10s , did the manuals even come with 4.10s ? and could i swap this into my automatic..... sorry for the potential dumb questions. Theres a few front stock 4.10s i have my eye on and i plan to swap in the front and regear the rear soon.

2.4's with auto or manuals were 4.10s it was the 3.7 6spd manual that came with a 3.55

but to answer your question, yes you can swap it

thanks, i should know all that but it was a late couple nights. also i cant pass up the front diff for 120 $ shipped to my house with less miles on it than my jeep

That's a good price for sure.

Be sure to check the tags on it when you get the diff to make sure it's from a 2.4 and has the 4.10's. I drove about 90 minutes to pick up a front diff from a salvage yard and on the phone the guy swore it was from a 4 cylinder KJ. Got there, took one look at the tag and it was from a 3.7 and had the 3.73 gears.

yeah im kind of skeptical about it, im going to try and have him send pictures. The vin of the vehicle its from does check out to be 2.4l though. Theres also a couple more i have my eye on in that price range
