Getting ready to buy a set of these...any thoughts on the following:

1. Road noise? How loud are they at 65+ MPH?
2. General quality - have heard that COntinental/General are not as good a quality tire...thoughts?
3. Tread life - as good as a BFG or other top brand?
4. Off road - have heard good things about this tire.

Going to buy 225/75 R 16 on the stock alloy rim.

Thanks!

I looked at these when I was looking for new tires for my KJ but I ended up going with the Yokohama Geolander ATs that several people on here have and I could not be happier.

I really liked the look of the General Grabbers and think they would probably be a good tire.

1. Road noise? How loud are they at 65+ MPH? Quiet at 65. 30-35 mph they do hum quite a bit
2. General quality - have heard that COntinental/General are not as good a quality tire...thoughts?No issues with mine, 20k on them and they probably have the same tread depth as a new TKO
3. Tread life - as good as a BFG or other top brand? So far so good at 20k. I rotate them every 5k
4. Off road - have heard good things about this tire. Have only had it out once in the snow and it seemed to perform well

Going to buy 225/75 R 16 on the stock alloy rim. Why 225? You can go 235/70 (stock off-road package size) or 245/70 on the stock alloy

You are right, I ordered 245/70 instead of 225/75. My dealer confirmed that this will work out better for me.

Thanks!

You may get a little rubbing on the sway bar at full turning lock with 245's. I do. No biggie though, I just don't swing it to lock unless absolutely mandatory.

Great so far, not too loud and seems to have much better traction on pavement than my BFG SR/A's
