You can check for duplicates, miss named author/title/album etc, check for One artist listed with different genre's, check for all sorts of things its great however it isn't free, but im sure if you been around the net long enough you can find a "free" version lol

Apparently you have never used it? I tried using it to manage my library, and it ***** even compared to Windows Media Player.

I need to check these suggestions out. A co-worker said Winamp was pretty good. I used to use that in the past but haven't checked it out recently.

As far as downloads, Walmart.com baby!! :D

I download all my media (be it movies or music, even some games) using BitComet. LOVE IT. all I do is import the songs and video to iTunes, load it to the iPhone, done. Some videos I have to re-format to fit the screen of the phone and such, but it all works out great.

Nothing is wrong with itunes, it does what its suppose to do. the problem arises when you need to A: transfer music from your ipod BACK to your pc, (ie for a crash or backup purposes) B: want more control over your library, or C: have a huge Library, and again need to have more control, more database options that Itunes does not have or apple will not allow. I have over 27,000 mp3's Itunes is lacking in so many areas that i have used it and 3rd party applications for years.

Beatunes and other apps just like it, don't actually replace itunes, but work in conjuction with it. They still use the itunes/apple api and basically enhance the capabilities of the original application(itunes).
