Haynes or Chilton Manual?

I've used em both for other vehicles but haven't bought one for my Liberty yet... which manual is better when it comes to pictures and GOOD instructions? I really need the Liberty Repair for Dummies!! ](*,)

Neither, go for the factory service manual. It's expensive, but worth it.

It's often much cheaper on eBay as pdfs on cds because people make copies and sell them illegally. Some people may know where to find a manual like that online as well.

X3... Go to Ebay, you should be able to find one for an arm or a leg, rather than both. smashfreakB.gif

Thanks - great price on the service manual but I'm really just looking for one of the basic manuals for things like changing the plugs, brakes, starter, etc. I'm just a parts changer - not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.

It's still the best route to go! Plus it you decide to go deeper, you can. Quite honestly, Other than diagnostic work, mechanics are also parts changers. You won't be sorry for the purchase. lol3.gif

not to mention there are also a complete list of diagnostic trouble codes in the back of the book, incase your CEL ever comes on at some point.
