Hello to all, I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty 2WD. I found this forum because I have a question. When replacing the upper ball joint on the front driver side. How do you get to the top rear bolt of the upper control arm under the steering wheel shaft? I have not attempted yet but when looking it looks pretty difficult. Any suggestions fellow Liberty Lovers?

Its a b****. Remove battery. Remove battery tray. Remove screw that holds the steering shaft bracket so you can wiggle it around for some clearance. Then a ratchet extension than a swivel then another extension or something along those lines. You then can stuff an arm up in there and go to town. Its quite the pain in the ass. You just got to get at with what you got.

Edit: since when was there a swear filter? Lol

eyehatetofu pretty much summed it up.

Ratchet, extensions, wobblies, patience, and determination.

Then twice as much patience and determination to install the new one.

Oh, and welcome to JeepKJCountry:party52:

You can work around the steering shaft without taking it loose.
Extensions and swivels with air rachet at the radiator area makes fast work
