Help!

Replacing lower rear control arms and shocks, got ready to install new control arm and the rear mount (Towards back of libby) fits perfect, the forward will not fit into to mount and I even tried love tapping with 3 pound ford tool, no go, took it out and compared to old arm, identical except that end, the center sleeve in the bushing is about 1/4" (or lil more) wider.....I double checked the part number and store site and got the right part according to them, anyone else have this issue?

Put old on and return them? Grind the sleeve to allow fitting?

Kick the dog, smack the wife and retire?

Not getting the bushing into the arm, Mine came installed, getting the arm (with bushing) into the bracket on the forward side.....

I am gonna try to take a pic...

Interesting. Mine fell right out once the bolt was removed and new one slipped right in.
Possible part defect / off brand ?

2 pics,one shows diff in width, maybe 1/4" ish.

Yeah that is most likely, gonna call in the morning if they are open, if not thinking of grinding it down.....Should not hurt it as long as I dont heat the rubber......

I had this issue with I installed my OME shocks. The Bilstein mount was narrower and I had tightened it enough to compress the tabs on the frame, so the OME wouldn't fit. I just took a crow bar and spread them out again. Try that for the LCA mount.

Tried a pry bar but will try a larger one.......

Well 2 foot pry bar with pipe would not open the jeep bracket, called the company and they said they sent correct part but it must be defective (DUH!) and will refund me, then I noticed in the return item email it said 9 percent restock fee and if I use the return shipping label they will deduct 28 buck from my refund....NO WAY! Not my fault, not going to pay squat..so called ebay (I bought the parts off ebay but they are brick store) and ebay said I get all my money back even if they have to pay it....

So waiting on return stuff.....

Now to buy the parts local is 4 times the cost, I could try another vendor but not same company.....

I put the original arms back on, which ***** but I did get the swap out the shocks which was fun but I love them Monroes........

PS Anybody got the torque values for the shocks, rear sway bar and lower control arms?

Well hate to say , but you get what you pay for.

I'd go with Moog (if it's the Problem Solver series, K part number) or Mopar. If your KJ has ever been registered in a salt belt state you can get new ones under recall. I got mine replaced.

They only replace once though right. My recall was done and I’m in the rust belt. I needed another set. My first set was moog that didn’t fit. They thought it was a bushing error and sent me a new set. The metal sleeve in the bushing was too long. The second set fit fine.

Ordered mopar set today, Live in Arizona so no recall.....
