'05 KJ - Can anyone tell me what the rubber hose and fitting is that is attached to the strut bolt behind the battery on the drivers side inner fender? It has a wierd fitting that connects it to the strut bolt and a spring loaded 'button' of some kind. Hose looks like vacuum hose or overflow hose - just hangs down in front of engine. What is it? Is it supposed to be conneced to something? Thanks!

Jake, it sounds like the vent hose for the front diff. The other end of the offensive piece of rubber should be hose clamped to the wee fitting on the front diff cover.
