I heard that there was a way to get rid of fine scratches on painted bumpers. Normally scratches on non-painted bare bumpers on Sports could not be buffed, but it is possible on the painted ones, like LTD or Special Editions..

Take a look at these, I am kicking myself in the nuts for not buying the bullbar and rear brush guards when I first got my Jeep.. Now even if I buy them, the scratches are there.

Since it is on paint, a claybar may work too. That has done wonders for my Jeep.

John, I must ask, where do you buy those stuff.. ](*,) I am having trouble buying these kinds of things in NY. You know the Strauss we got on Northern Blvd, they have zilch, neither does the one on Roosevelt ave. Is there a secret spot you shop, if so pls share (whistle)

Thank desertkj, I will consider that as well, but I am afraid that might be duller than the paint.

Jon, today I stopped by Big Boys Toys at qblvd that place is nice, prices a bit high but you will probably find what ever you look for. I picked up stoner's can over there, I asked them if they can tint my windshield about 6-8 inches, they said yes, but they couldn't fade out as they go down. So I changed my mind, I didn't want to get block of black on top of the windshield.

on the corner of 69th and Roosvelt, there's a guy there, named Miguel. He's the one w/ the hat. whenever i need stuff, anything, I go to him, and he comes through a few days later. LoL...

The GS27, I forgot where i got it. I've had that since 98....My friend has something similar, but kinda forgot what brand, and where he got it from. (i'll ask him when i talk to him later or whenever) I think i've seen similar stuff in Target. as for Strauss, blech. Try the Pep Boys in Metro, or the one in LIC. (I didnt know there was a strauss in Roosevelt)

Where in NY are ya? I live like 5 minutes from BBT's. I've been there once. I like going to Speedworld better (prices are equally as high tho. LoL) there's like literally 10 places in Queens Blvd that u can probably get tinted.

Im suprised you havn't seen my KJ around the Blvd. (either that or a goldish Blazer w/ a taped up driver side rear tail light)

I live in Sunnyside. ;) I take LIE every morning and drive to Jamaica via LIE+GCP+VWYK+BELT combination hell. confused2.gif

Today I spotted a silver one thought it was you, but turned out he had a cover, and no sticker. :-k

jeepjeepster, I know, it really looks great, but I didn't want it get in the way too much. I don't know how tall you are but, so far I never ever used my visors because if I flip them down I can't see anything! 8-[ So If I got a block I thought it would block way too much. Do you have any shot from inside looking out? I guess it also depends on the darkness of the tint. Front windows look great but it is a huge Ticket Magnet, especially here in NY!

Jon, do these guys stick-tint or bake tint? I have no idea how they can tint them, because I sure don't want that buble-in-a-month films. :-& =;

my friend got his tints a few blocks west of where BBT is (closer to 45th ave)it's stick on, but they do a good job (it's been like a year or so, and it still looks good)

my other friend got his somwhere in brooklyn...he got the expensive stuff tho.

I wouldn't risk it with the cheap stuff. Especially on the windshield

JeepJeepster, what did you get on yours?

But your sides look like they match rear OEM tints. I have seen some terrible stick ons in the past, they bubble, crack and get all steamed up inside in the winter..

basically same as GS27, it's one part compound, one part was. gets clear coat scratches off really nicely..
