Sand any surface rust, clean with Acetone, clean with water, dry real good, spray 2 coats of self-etching primer, then final spray with whatever color paint you want.

Just keep some onhand so you can touch up any spots where those sliders do their job. I used some POR15 and then their "HardNose" paint on a different part a while back and i was VERY impressed as to how well it holds up. Basiclly it DOES NOT CHIP. Now granted I did not deform the metal under it but it is used on dozer blades and stuff and they say "IT WILL NOT CHIP."

Only thing I didn't like is the LONG curing time. Do it in humid weather and for some reason the curing time speeds up, go figure.

Great stuff, just follow their instructions to the letter and wait for it to cure and go for it. I plan to do this to my new superskinks, when time permits.
