MT/R's have restored my faith in Goodyear tires... Night and day compared to 13 years ago riding on the stock SRAs? I swore for the last 13 years that I would never own another Goodyear tire... And found a set of 5 for 100.00!!! With way over 75% in the rear and about 30-40% on the front ones and spare... Since I put them on... I've driven mercilessly through rain and snow and haven't had a hiccup!!!! Nothing... Straight and true driving with EXCELLENT traction... Faith restored Goodyear! Good job!

Comparing stock SRAs to most any other Goodyear tire is like comparing Boones Farm to a bottle of 2007 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

LoL... I've had about 10 different sets of tires since stock... And these by far have me feeling the most comfortable behind the wheel. :)

So I guess that wasn't you I saw yesterday, baseball hat on backwards, sliding sideways on SRA's sipping on a bottle of Boone's in a brown paper bag?......LOL

Yeah, all kidding aside, SRA's are bad.

Does this explain all the free water skiing lessons I get when it rains?

Yes it does!
I bought mine new in September of 04, before it snowed that year those tires were history and I was rocking 245-70-16 Destination ATs for 8 months then......bigger and bigger and .....

I got a set of Destination ATs on my Ranger Last spring and was impressed but leaning toward something a bit more aggressive for the Jeep. I'd like to (have to) stick with the 245/70/16 for now since no lift but I'll have to try to find that size in the MTRs I only see a 245/75/16 and that'll rub. I've sort of gotten away from Goodyear due to some issues with another vehicle.

Yes 245-75s on a unlifted / sagged KJ don't work
Look at the Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar
hearing some good reviews on them

Thanks again Tom. Maybe soon to be unsagged KJ. I'm actually surprised my 245/70/16s don't rub (Michelins XCX/APT i think). Maybe cause I've got 90k on them and there is half as much rubber as there should be. I never had a set of Wranglers on anything but they do have a good reputation.
