ok i was leaving pets mart and there was 2 ladys who had an 04 liberty and their hood was up. i asked if they needed help they said yes. none of lights came on and that beeping sound didnt come on but the car made a rattle sound that came from the fuse box when she tried to start it. i hooked some jumper cables up and her car tried to turn over. a few minutes later she tried again and nothing. not even the rattle sound. the fuel pump fuse was the one that rattled. i switched it out with the wiper fuse and it tried but wouldnt start up. then we switched the other wiper fuse with the starter fuse and nothing. what could this have been? she couldnt move her windows and the engine light was blinking when the key was turned.

Original battery? Libertys do weird things when the battery is dead. If the battery was original, it could have finally had it.

Strange

My wife's Civic wouldn't start yesterday. I knew her battery was old, and just went ahead and replaced it. Even with the new battery in, I had absolutely no power. Turns out, the main battery fuse (80 amp) was fried. Ran to AutoZone, got a replacement, and its as good as new. Not sure if our Jeeps have anything like this.

After you install a new battery you can have even more problems for some time.
