Hey guys,
so I haven't properly introduced myself on the forum. I'm Adam and I have a Jeeping problem :)

Just got my first jeep a couple of weeks back - 07 Renegade with 50 000km - and I'm just loving it! Been enjoying reading loads of posts on here and getting some cool ideas for my KJ.

So here's some photos

It's getting it's windows tinted now, so will post another pic when I get it back.
I was quite surprised to get up that little hill in 2WD without spinning those BaldYear Eagles.
New rubber is next on the list. Prob go with Bridgestone Dueler Revos.
I'd like to do a lift, but got lots of saving to do for kids and the Lotus 7 I wanna build, so a lift probably won't happen for a long time.

Other plans include two extra lights for the lightbar (Gonna fabricate these myself). Maybe a nudge bar. Would like some big M/T tyres, but that would obv have to wait for a lift.

I'm taking it up to my friend's game farm in a few weeks, so looking forward to hitting some rougher terrain. Will take my helmet cam for some action shots :)

Anyway, that's it for now...

So I finally got it dirty :)
also got some Rubi-style renegade stickers from pixeldecals.com
(they're a gun metal colour - not blue like they look there)
Now I just need to get some chunky rubber and those two extra light pods fabricated

Went to a local off road trail on the weekend. First time I've really tested the Jeep's abilities...

(let me know if the pics don't pull through - they're from a facebook album)
enjoy:

Nice looking KJ you have there! It is nice to see that Jeep didn't kill the Renegade off for the 07 everywhere like they did here in the USA.

I have always liked those export Renegade light bars, hmmm I wonder how expensive it would be to ship them I could trade you my 4-light bar for your 2-light bar

Thanks man. I think mine is an MY06, but first registered in 07

I could trade you my 4-light bar for your 2-light bar

hmmm, now there's an interesting proposition. I've always preferred the 4-spot light bar.
jparts.com says 16lbs for a light bar. I'll check on postage costs at the post office. If it's not mental, I'll be keen for a swap :smokin:

I'll take the Hi Lux, well without that worthless grill guard. One of my favorites when I'm in Tanzania.
Pictures are great good job on them!

Serendipity

Went up to Limpopo province in December to a place called Serendipity Eco Trails.
In a word: AWESOME :)

Wide variety of terrain, from river crossings to mud to rocks. climbs... descents...

enough blabbing - here are some pics:

Still relatively clean:

My mate in the Hilux decided it wasn't dirty enough (kept it like this for a few days afterwards )

After taking some flak from the hilux boys prior to the trip, I'm happy to say that the Jeep was the only vehicle of the 4 that neither sustained any damage (apart from a few dents on the OEM sliders) nor got stuck.
White Hilux damaged it's t/case; blue hilux tore two tyres (more down to the driver being a clown) and the Isuzu beached itself twice.

Yeah it was an awesome few days of some serious wheeling and some clowning around.

A lift is definitely in order though - scraped a LOT. The Renne's skid plates worked hard... Got an EFS system on order, which should be here soon

Thanks Ryan.

And I hope to make it back to Vancouver one day :) Love it there.

The LEDs I ordered for the spot lights disappeared while my wife was doing a clear-out. GRRR. had to order ANOTHER $100 worth. :favorites68:

Gonna be 6x10W LEDs each side now, for a total of around 12000 lumens :smokin:

I also ordered some lenses to have a go at LED projector headlights. Got the inspiration from the JW Speaker headlights:
