AKA: My EVIC wasn't confused, I was guzzling diesel!

I've gone from averaging 16MPG (so says EVIC), now to a little over 20.

360 Miles.

I can't wait for this thing to finish breaking in!

On another subject, where's the ULSD and / or biodiesel?!?!??!

It keeps getting better!

On Father's Day my daughter and I and her boy friend went on about 140 mile pleasure drive. About 100 miles was 50-60 MPH highway the the rest was slow mountain driving on dirt and gravel plus a little city streets, no freeways though. The EVIC started out at 21.8 (I had been doing a lot of town driving during the since the last reset a week earlier) and by the time we hung things up for the day it was reading 27.2. The odometer in the Liberty and the EVIC have about a 6-7% error that is not calculated in that would make it score even higher.

Love those diesel fumes!!!!!

Update on my mileage situation...

I never really payed attention to the tire pressure since I bought the Jeep. I just noticed that they all looked a bit low. I associated the looks with the increased weight of the diesel engine.

So today I decided to test the pressure of all of my tires. They are all... 5-7lbs lower than they should be, with the spare being the only one properly inflated.

Joy. To the air pump tomorrow!

What's the 0-60 accel on that baby? Not that you have to try it, but what's published?

And also I hate the fact that NY cannot handle diesel!

..Like the new signature

I dunno what the 0-60 times are, but it feels quicker than my other Jeep. Sometimes I don't notice a difference. It depends on the driving I'm doing.

Getting better and better. I'm at 540 miles now...

Mmm... so I'm on this street, it's like 1AM.

Stopped at a light. This guy, about my age is next to me in this red Grand Cherokee. This street is notoriously known for immature teenagers and street racing. So I take off ... quickly \:D/ . Mr. GrandCherokeeLimitedV8 thinks I'm racing him. He starts revving his engine. He thinks I'm racing him! Keep in mind, 87 Octane is $2.99 less than 50 feet away from him.

Hmm, gotta love that turbocharger!
