Infinity Basslink Interference?

I got a basslink for x-mas and so far I'm lovin' it. A friend of mine listened to it and was so impressed that he went to best buy and bought one for himself. So far, mine has been perfect, no problems. His however, has interference whenever he's on his cell phone. It's weird because I have Verizon and it doesn't intefere at all. He has Cingular and it interferes like crazy. It's like this really loud buzzing sound and it gets louder the closer you put the phone to the basslink. Is this normal? Anyone have a Basslink that also has Cingular? Any suggestions for fixing it?

oh well, he returned it today so problem solved I guess.

Verizon is CDMA and cingular is GSM... different Mhz's... but, it sounds like he didn't ground it properly.

My Cingular GSM Razr drives my radio nuts, sounds like someone is sending morse code, my wife has a GSM plain vanilla Motororla and it does not bother the radio
