Locally I drive thru some long school zones and like the idea of using cruise to avoid an unconscience increase in speed while in the zone. 20 to 24 mph would be great. What is the downside?
Is it possible to lower the cruise control minimum speed?

Good question... I've used mine as low as 30 mph (a lot of cops along one road!).

Hmmm, mine doesn't engage until 35, and if I try to 'coast' it down below that it'll disengage... guess it may be a difference in the year models???grogiefrog said:

MY 02 Limited bottoms out at 35 as well.

My 2003 with Manual 5spd ****** doesn't engage under ~60kph (~37mph)...

my 03 is also the same it wont engage until 35 i would love to set it at 30 because when i drive home from work i gotta drive along lake erie and its 30 for about 2 miles and i gotta heavy foot..

I have an 05 CRD and it will cruse down to 30 MPH. My two 90's chrysler minivans will only to to 35.

I get cruise engaged at 25 in my Charger all the time. Never tried to go lower or paid attention to how low I could get it, though I did notice it when I got it under 35 since no other car I have had would go that low.

Ahh thats why I never could understand why it wouldn't cruise through slower traffic. sometime I would cruise on the X-way at 60mph's and when a traffic jam starts I would coast down to like 25. However, it would never stay and my cruise was off. \

my 05 bottoms out at 30 as well.
i have a 98 f150 4x4 that will cruise at 10 - 15 mph.

Most school zones here are 15 mph. The one in front of my HS is 25 and I was disappointed at the cruise. I wish I could set the cruise because there is always a cop in the same spot with a radar gun. Even though I know him pretty well, I dont want to try it. lol.
