Issues with Head lights AND Speedometer Light ?

Hi ~

I am having issues with BOTH my headlights NOT staying on ( high and low beams) as well as only half my speedometer dash lighting up. Left side only is OUT.

Fog lights work fine, thankfully.

Is there any problem that could be going on that would connect the head lights AND the speedometer illuminiation ?
Or, do I have two SEPARATE problems going on?

Open to all input and suggestions as to WHAT could be going on with either/or both.

Do they come on ok at first ?
How long they stay on ?
Do they come and go , on and off , or just off and stay off ?
Do the speedometer dash lights go on and off with the headlights
Final , it always helps to know what year as there are some differences
