I usually try to get out and get some pics of the leaves changing, so I was out today...not changing much where I live, so we went to higher ground...they're still not in peak season, but not too bad...here's some pics of the leaves, and some other misc. stuff we did today.

Good shots! I was hoping to get up to the mountains again this weekend and get some shots myself now that the Jeep is fixed, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Are those Blue Ridge Parkway shots?

How did you get the shot of the lightning? Keep the shutter open?

Check corwwyn. He did the same under photography thread.
Normally 4-5 sec shutter with wide enough aperture will do the trick. Just have to keep trying and trying, and with short shot-to-shot reboot, it should be easy to accomplish But that above shot looks like a frame from video
