Okay I have had my Jeep Lib 4WD Limited ED for 10 years now. Never had a days problem until the last two months. I had my radiator replaced two months ago. I have seen a small leak under the car, not large just small. My heater was not putting out much heat, so a recommended mechanic flushed out the heater core...I had hot hot hot heat...my defroster had hot heat. Well, I checked everything two days later, I still have heat, but on the dashboard defroster, on full blow, the heat comes on, then turns cool. If I have the temp dial on 2, and turn the defroster on, it stays warm. The mechanics technical term was "that's weird." (most impressive) He claims it my be the door, and he will still have to remove the entire dash. And you know how much that cost. I can smell what smells like oil or coolant coming from the vent. The mechanic says it's not my heater core, it's blowing every HIGH hot everywhere but the the window.
Please tell me it's not a $750 - $1000 plus job! I just need the car to last one more winter...I'm in Texas, we don't get too many snow and ice days, but I don't want to be out on the road and have the windows ice up while I'm driving home.
