Jeep KK 2011...is this a sensor?

Had the truck for a year and just noticed that the front dome lights panel has a circular black sensor (or whatever it is) on the corner. Anybody knows what this is for?

Good question. I'm sure one of our KK members may know for sure.
Could it be the microphone for the hands free?

I don't think so. It is encased in glass (like a camera lens), unlike a microphone that would have some kind of tiny perforations...but then again, I have no idea what it is, so it could well be a microphone.

In case anybody else was interested...it's the Movement Intrusion Sensor for the car alarm.
