Jeep Liberty No Heat

I need help!!!
I just got my jeep back from the mechanics and have no heat.
They changed out the head gaskets.
I have also replaced the radiator, thermostat, hoses. We checked the system for air pockets.
My temp gauge goes up to the halfway mark but I have no heat. The first day I drove it I had heat only on low. If I turned it up I received ice cold air.
I had my husband change out the thermostat and bleed the system of air pockets and now we have NO HEAT..
I have spent two thousand dollars.. Please tell me what this could be??

Might need to flush the heater core or replace it. I've always thought to follow his method with this...because it seems like he gets A LOT of gunk out of his system:

Possibly failing water pump...?

Did the heat work OK before they did the head gaskets?
Why were the head gaskets done?
Did it work after they did them or just for that one time ?
Are the hoses going back to the heater core and coming back getting hot? ( to check to see if its circulating through the heater core)
What area are you in ?
If close to someone on here we maybe able to help somewhat more
