Backing out of my driveway, my Jeep “locked up”. Engine, trans, and brakes were ok.

Asked a friend to see if they could tell what’s going on. That’s when it popped a couple of times, and the tire went flat.

The lower control arm ball joint had come loose, and shattered the inside of my alloy wheel.

After I get it on jack stands, what’s my next move?

Mechanic shops in my area are slammed, so I’d like to try to repair it myself.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Brac

Renedave just sold some; that's where I got these numbers.

Moog K80767 greasable lower ball joints.
Moog RK3198 upper control arm with ball joint.

I haven't done this job so I'm just spouting numbers. JeepinByAl has some longer upper control arms with rebuildable ball joints which are better with lift kits, I've read.

You'll need to rent/buy a ball joint press from the parts store. Probably want a big hammer and some new cuss words or prayers, and a wheel.
