I have an '08 Jeep Liberty Sport.

Where the heck is the key "Lock Off" postition to be used for towing behind a recreational vehicle?

I just got off the phone with Chyrsler Service and they did not know believe it or not!!!!

I hav Lock, ACC, ON, and Start - no LOCK OFF.

I believe that between "key out of ignition" and "on" there will be a spot where you'll feel the key hit a set position - this is the LOCK OFF. It'll allow the steering wheel to turn (disables steering lock), but the ignition (I.E. PCM, accessories, etc) will still remain off. You have to leave the key in the ignition for this though. This would allow you to have the vehicle in N as well, as you can't go into N without the key, and can't remove the key when in N.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Additionally, if you are concerned about theft with the key being left in the ignition, have a key blank cut at your hardware store. They'll give you crap about needing the key with the RF transmitter, but the point is you want one that mechanically matches but won't allow the vehicle to start. Without the RF transmitter, the vehicle will start for about 3 seconds and then just die.

Pretty sure youre correct. I use this position to push my Jeep around in the driveway and I dont want the ignition on or the fuel pump to kick on when its not needed. This allows the steering wheel to turn and the shifter to be shifted.
