I have just been "infected" with the jeep-flue... Just bought my first Jeep product, a 2003 Liberty CRD..

I have seen that the newer Libertys has different keys that has the buttons directly on it, and not as mine that has a separate remote... Is it possible to buy a newer key and program it so I can get rid of the remote??

If so whats this remote-less key called, or from witch year did it come?

I believe DC started using those type of fobs in 2005. Im guessing thats when they started them for the jeeps also. personally i dislike those type of fobs. My dad has one like that for his truck and i find it annoying. I would rather have a key. I prefer the fobs like what Mercedes has, where the key flips out of the fob rather then always sticking out of it.
