I walked out to my KJ last night and my keyless entry would not work. I said to myself ok that's weird but no big deal I'll just change the battery. Went home and attempted to use the spare key to the same effect. Since the spare key is rarely used I thought perhaps both the batteries were dead. However after replacing both the batteries I still cannot lock or unlock my jeep with either remote. I have tested the remotes and they are putting out a frequency and I don't believe it is a frequency issue with the Jeep because occasionally it will decide to work but not very often. I have not done anything new to it or disconnected the battery in any way.. Has anyone ever seen this issue and know the fix?

What year is your KJ....I can check which fuses are relevant..may be a loose fuse.

The early KJs have the Keyless Receiver plugged on the rear of the BCM which is on the reverse side of the internal Fuse Panel...this Receiver is about the size of a cigarett package. Newer kJs...from 2005 I think...have this Receiver built into the BCM. Either way you can loosen the internal fuse panel and re-plug the receiver and all the connectors there..first disconnect the battery!
