KK’s rarer Selec-Trac II Active Full-Time 4WD option vs part-time ones:
I looked for awhile to find a new KK with this rare option along with the others I wanted. I like Selec-Trac II because it lets you drive in areas of quickly-alternating wet/dirt/snow/dry surfaces without having to shift in and out of 4WD, and without tearing up your system if you don’t shift in and out of 4WD. I think that quite a few people don’t realize that Wranglers and most Liberty 4WDs, etc. don’t have full-time-selectable 4WD, and don't realize the inherent advantages of it. Also with Selec-Trac II, if you are on a dry freeway, you can shift out of full-time 4WD and into 2WD to save a bit of fuel and wear and tear on the 4WD system.
Anyone with other insights/comments to share on this?
