I ordered a skid plate, new. I asked ahead if all hardware is included, answer yes, everything needed to install it.

Arrives, hardware box (little white one zip tied to plate) is opened and empty...

I chat and they assure me they will make it right and send my missing stuff.

Arrives, Bag for hardware is opened and no rivnut tool!

I chat and after 2 days am told the manufacturer does not supply the tool and they offer me a whole dang set for $40 bucks!!

I will NEVER shop with them again, I have wasted so many days over this.....

I sent a copy of the supplied install sheet that shows the tool and how to use it but I have no faith as they all seem stupid to me....

I will not mention their name but "_____4x4center.com" can forget ever getting my money!

Sure wish I lived near them so I can organize protesters with signs and bad attitudes....

It's cool to call places out. Morris4x4center.com (I've never bought from them so have no experience with their customer service)

I just bought a set of skids from a fellow form member and they had all the hardware + rivenut tool but I did order 2 skids from them and only one tool was sent (not that I need/wanted two tools) so maybe they bought it separately too. My instructions include it.

Never used one of those tools to install any skid, I'm sure it maybe easier but never saw the need to buy one.

***** to hear. Last time I used rivnuts for a light bar bracket I’m pretty sure I made my own tool using a bolt and some nuts. Unless I found it like that in my toolbox from another project. Either way. You can make one yourself.

I bought a bag of rivnuts a while back to install my 02 Tcase skid on my 05. Bought the simple little tool and after I got it I realized you could make one pretty easy. Oh well, lessons learned. Still haven't gotten around to installing the skid after over a year...

Attention All At Jeep KJ.com

I wanted to say a big thank you for all of you guys and your help and knowledge, you fellow members are awesome! :winner_third_h4h:

I am amazed at guys like Tom, wow his brain........

I am thankful for all your patience, especially Toms, LOL seems I am defective, I tend to ask questions, never reading the "READ HERE BEFORE POSTING" stuff, which, actually always seems to answer my questions...and/or I send PM questions on part numbers or things and I will get a great reply and then I run out of cash (I have to supplement my father monthly) and put everything on hold and idk, 4 mos later I forget that I got the answers and PM again, truly I am not right! But your handling the weird guy (me) has been professional and down right nice.....

Now i have has some shots sent my way all in good nature, like making fun of my Spartan which I LOVE! LOL you know who you are Tom

SO thank you!

Mmmmm now how should I take that ? :happy175:

After you've "touched " many many KJs ( and Jeeps and other various 4x4s over the last 40 plus years ) yes warped brain for sure. But then I blame it on the old guys who I hung with when I was in my 20s etc . Todays kids would run home screaming if they heard some things they would yell at me about , joking of course ! LOL
