Depends on your amount of lift, what tire and rim combo you have/go with. I had 245 75 16 BFG at's on mine and got slight rub, so I didn't pound the pinch welds. I have since put on 31x10.5x15 and I had to pound the pinch welds down, and do some plastic trimming up front on the inner fender and fender flair.

So basically wait till you put the lift and tires on then see what you got .

Though if you're bored and have nothing else to do, you could pound the pinch welds for the sake of doing it.....:)

A lot depends on the wheel / tire combo, how much lift and how you are going to use it, may not rub going to the mall but take it in some really off camber situations and it may rub then, why take a chance? Do it now and be done, easy 20 minute job at most:D
