Hey everybody. Recently joined the forum and just wanted to share some of my projects so far. Ive had my Jeep since August and I'm loving it. Most of my projects are audio related so I figured I would post this on that forum. Ill update this as i go and add some pictures when i can get them uploaded.
Project 1:
In-Dash Double Din DVD Player
Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD - Touchscreen DVD player
Pioneer CD-BTB200 - Bluetooth Adapter
Original Liberty CD Player
Removing the Panel
Remove 4 screws and pull out the Stereo
Had to cut out these little plastic stereo mounts to make room for Double Din to fit. Also had to remove the metal bracket on the back of the compartment and adjust the location of some wires, to make extra room.
After preparing the dash I had to make a custom bracket for the DVD player out of some sheet metal. The bracket was attached with the screws that came with the DVD player.
The next step was to cut out the original stereo panel to a double din sized hole from the 1.5 Din.
Post cut and installing the new bracket -- the edges are kind of wavy from the finish on the original panel.
Finished repaint and install of panel
The blue tooth adapter was wrapped in a piece of foam, to keep rattles down, and placed to the left of the DVD player.
Project 2:
Arc Audio Sub and Amp.
Wires are all over the place, but i haven't had time to start on phase 2 of the project, installing the sub into the cargo door, so there they sit until then.
Arc Audio KS1000.1-BX - Amplifier
Arc Audio FL12D4 - Sub
Stinger 10 Farad Capacitor
0 Gauge Wiring Kit /w 150Amp fuse
Optima - Yellow Top Battery
0 gauge wire coming through firewall and remote controls for the Amplifier
Amp and Capacitor
