I was wondering if anyone out there knows the correct maximum speed that I can spin my tires while stuck. I remember reading 15MPH somewhere to avoid transmission damage, but when I searched my owners manual it said 35 MPH to avoid tire damage.

I've buried my speedo(okay it stopped at 114mph,the governed top speed) on more them one occasion,in 4low also,5' of goopy mud is a SOB,had to dig for my winch(after pulling my buddies crewcab superduty out of the same hole). No damage to my t-case or ******,though you don't want to be in a place where you can possibly get traction or goodbye front diff.

I just found it in my manual. It says "When rocking a stuck vehicle do not exceed 15MPH or drive train damage may result." Does this mean I can spin the wheels up to 35MPH (or 114MPH) unless I am rocking.

Make sure your wheels are stopped(or almost stopped) before shifting from "D" to "R" or "R" to "D",or driveline damage will occure.I was going only straight so I needed all the wheel speed I could get in the deep mud.
